3. How to Make an Appointment
You can make an appointment with us in the following ways:

Walk-ins: We accept walk-ins but please confirm with practice
Please let us know if you need any special assistance during your visit, such as an interpreter or wheelchair access.
4. Patient Registration
When you first visit Trim General Practice, we will need you to fill out a Patient Registration Form. This will include basic personal information, medical history, and any other relevant details. This helps us understand your health needs and provide appropriate care.
Please bring the following documents with you:

Medical Card or GP Visit Card (if applicable)

5. Fees and Billing
Trim General Practice is committed to transparency when it comes to our fees.

Medical Card / GP Visit: Most of our services are covered if you holf a valid Medical Card or GP Visit Card, Please present this card when visiting the practice for the first time or if your card has been renewed.

Private Patient: All our services are chargable for private patient, All major payments are accdepted - Cash & Credit or Debit Card
You will be informed of any costs upfront if they are not covered
6. Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. We comply with all relevant health privacy regulations, and your personal and medical information is securely stored and kept confidential. Your medical records will only be shared with other healthcare providers (e.g., specialists, hospitals) with your consent or when required by law.

7. Prescriptions and Referrals

Prescriptions: If you need a repeat prescription, please book an appointment with one of our GPs. For most medications, a consultation is required before issuing a prescription.

Referrals: If you need a referral to a specialist, your GP will provide it during your consultation. If you already have a referral from another healthcare provider, please bring it with you.
8. Cancellations and No-Shows
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient who may need it. Failure to cancel your appointment within this timeframe may incur a cancellation fee.
9. Emergencies
In case of a medical emergency, please dial 999 or 112 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department which is Our Ladys Hospital, Athboy Road, Navan, County Meath
